About me
My name is Florencia and I create picture book worlds inspired by nature, the sea and the poetic moments of everyday life. I am particularly interested in character-driven stories where imagination, humour and subtle emotional moments come together, inviting children to explore their surroundings with curiosity.
I laid the foundations for my artistic career at an art school in Belgium, supplemented by training as a make-up artist in Munich. There, I developed a keen sense of character, expression and atmosphere – skills that shape my work as an illustrator today.
Having grown up in Argentina, Germany and Belgium, my perspective on stories in different cultural contexts has been sharpened. Today, I focus entirely on children’s book illustration and develop my own picture book projects – including Delfi Splashwater, a story about a little girl who, whilst bathing, dives into the sea in her imagination.
